Students make and compare two paper airplanes, using the PPDAC cycle.

Whilst doing this, they should learn how to construct/use:

2. 5 Number Summary
3. Mean
4. Boxplot
5. Histogram

Statistics Investigations goes through how to apply the cycle to the airplanes investigation.

PPADC gives the descriptions of the cycle, but mixed up as a mix/match activity.

Students work through the PPDAC cycle to compare an aspect of two datasets (Girls and Boys).

Datasets

Students can choose their own comparisions here, but some require significant data cleaning.

The database is taken from NZ census@school. The students are anywhere between 8 and 18, a fact that is hidden, but should be raised when discussing conclusions.
